Leading lines definition:

Leading lines are the lines in an image that draw your eyes to focus on, for example a side street and the yellow lines continue going down, that is where your eyes lead you to. Everything else around doesn't matter, the images when make leading lines are theses where you can draw lines on and they go in the same direction.

The purpose of this shoot is to represent the lines we see in everyday life and don't realise until we actually look for them. Leading lines are what it says, lines. They are what our eyes follow because they draw us to them over any other shape around. While on the shoot I noticed that there were many more lines around that I thought they'd be. There was hundreds and hundreds of lines around and I chose a select few to capture.

Some successful elements of the shoot were that I found it very easy to take the pictures of the lines because they are all around. I made some of the lines stand out more from the everyday line buy using the enhancing and lightening tool in PhotoShop.

Some improvements that need to be made would be the quality of some of my images. I feel that I need to take the time to think about the picture I am taking rather than just pointing the camera and clicking. I will do this by going out on another shoot and improving the picture quality.

Just below are some of my images with lines on them to show the direction of the leading lines so that it is clear to everyone. I wanted to do this to help the image be more dynamic. The lines are used to draw the viewer into specific areas of the picture, therefore emphasising focal points.
