Bury shoot
I have decided to do a shoot that is similar to some of Eugene Atget's work. I went into Bury as a starter shoot to build my skills before I do a shoot in Manchester. The skills I have been using in this shoot are rule of thirds, unusual viewpoints, pattern and texture, leading lines and focal points, close up and depth of field.

The purpose of this shoot is to get some images that resemble Eugene Atget, especially when I come to edit them. The Bury shoot was like a practice before I did the Manchester shoot.
Some successful elements of the shoot were that I was able to use most of the techniques that I've learnt so far into the shoot.
Some improvements that need to be made would be the variety of pictures that I took as I feel that they are similar.

This shoot has inspired me for my next shoot to make it more urban and quiet with minimum people, more lonely and segregated from others. It has inspired me to look at more unusual viewpoints and more black and white than colour.

After reviewing my work, I have chosen my top five favourite edits that I like and I will explain why they are my favourite next to them. I feel that these ones communicate the best with the audience and myself in regards to 'The sense of place'. I feel that they relate the best because of how they have been edited to make them look like Eugene's work which is what I have been inspired by, as well as showing off the amount of detail in the image in black and white rather than in colour. The use of black and white magnifies and heightens the detail in the image.
